Dominique Gill is one of the Asia-Pacific’s leading construction entrepreneurs. Her dynamic start-up Urban Core, went from a kitchen table business to Australian Financial Review Fast Starter status in a few short years. An award-winning leader in changing the culture of construction to future-proof the industry, Dominique also founded NexGen as a not-for-profit initiative. A NexGen Ambassador herself, Dominique regularly presents at schools and community and industry events, where she’s an inspiring presence who offers living proof of what’s possible.

Executive Director Claire Howells helped raise NexGen from the ground up, and has now stepped into its lead role. Her outstanding and genial leadership has taken the program to the next level, making it the premier industry outreach program in Australia. Claire made the journey into construction from another unrelated role, and has quickly grown to love the industry she calls home. She’s since dedicated herself to communicating construction’s endless career opportunities to young women.

After an early career change-of-heart, Stephanie Nguyen has become a dynamic young leader in the construction industry. She was president and co-founder of the Built Environment Association at University of Technology, Sydney, while still studying, and recipient of the Richard Crookes Constructions Merit Scholarship for Women. Along with her dedication to NexGen’s outreach programs, she has a special focus on audience engagement, and communicating construction’s benefits through digital channels.
